Trims Design Engineer

<p><strong>Key Skills (Interior trims):</strong></p> <ul> <li>Design exposure of Automotive Interior Trims/Seating system components.</li> <li>Experience in (Interior Trims - Instrument Panels, Cross car beams, Door trims, Consoles, Pillar trims, and Headliners)</li> <li>3D modeling in surfacing as well as solid. Generating 2D drawings,3D annotation, etc.</li> <li>Manage BOM and engineering releases through PLM.</li> <li>Creating Engineering Concept design, master sections, and macro feasibility during the styling stage.</li> <li>Work out detail engineering and TPL creation and Release in PLM.</li> <li>Basic Understanding of DFMEA, DVP.</li> <li>Basic Knowledge of engineering plastic materials and processes, dimensional management, and GD&amp;T.</li> <li>Good analytical, Communication, logical, and interpersonal skills.</li> <li>Knowledge of tooling of plastics and manufacturing processes and molding processes.</li> <li>Strong Program management skills with a goal/target-minded discipline</li> <li>Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills</li> <li>Should be able to lead the team and check the quality of output and deliver the output.</li> <li>Communication with onsite/ client.</li> <li>Execute the project within the timelines prescribed by the customer.</li> <li>Good knowledge of CAD Methodologies and Best practices.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Key Skills (Exterior):</strong></p> <ul> <li>Develop concepts for innovative products with regard to feasibility, cost, lifespan customer, and legal requirements.</li> <li>Responsible for delivering robust, proven, and reliable mechanical solutions in the required time, quality, and cost.</li> <li>Mechanical BOM release &amp; updates.</li> <li>Creation of DFMEA, CAE plan, DV plan, component test, and certification in compliance.</li> <li>Technical Design Review (TDR) of a given project. On request participate in TDR organized by other teams to provide feedback.</li> <li>Responsible for the mechanical feasibility of the projects proven by checklist status.</li> <li>Participates in customer &amp; quality audits for given products/projects if required.</li> <li>Support creation, maintenance, and updates of design guidelines and rules.</li> <li>Strong Program management skills with a goal/target-minded discipline</li> <li>Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills</li> <li>Should be able to lead the team and check the quality of output and deliver the output.</li> <li>Communication with onsite/ client.</li> <li>Execute the project within the timelines prescribed by the customer.</li> <li>Good knowledge of CAD Methodologies and Best practices.</li> </ul>
