<div>Job Summary </div><div>We are looking for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer with experience in the biomedical or hazardous waste management sector The candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and safe operation of mechanical systems such as autoclaves shredders conveyors burners incinerators and related waste processing equipment The role requires a strong understanding of mechanical maintenance practices with a focus on safety regulatory compliance and environmental standards</div><div><br></div><div>Key Responsibilities </div><div>Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance on mechanical equipment like autoclaves incinerators shredders compactors and conveyor systems </div><div>Troubleshoot mechanical failures to minimize downtime and improve operational efficiency </div><div>Ensure all mechanical systems operate in compliance with biomedical waste handling and disposal regulations (eg CPCBBMWM Rules) </div><div>Maintain detailed records of inspections maintenance activities and repairs using CMMS or manual logs </div><div>Monitor the health of critical equipment using predictive tools (vibration temperature etc) </div><div>Support in the installation and commissioning of new machinery or modifications in existing systems </div><div>Ensure safe working practices and adherence to SOPs during maintenance activities </div><div>Assist in audits inspections and regulatory reporting as required </div><div>Coordinate with equipment vendors and OEMs for service support and spare parts management </div><div>Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for reducing downtime and extending equipment life cycle </div><div><br> </div><div> </div><div>Technical Skills </div><div>Handson experience with autoclaves burners incinerators shredders and pneumatichydraulic systems </div><div>Familiarity with waste handling protocols and safety standards </div><div>Understanding of mechanical drawings SOPs and maintenance schedules </div><div>Basic knowledge of PLCcontrolled systems (preferred) </div><div> </div><div><br></div><div>Preferred Industry Background </div><div>Biomedical Waste Treatment Facilities (CBWTFs) </div><div>Hazardous Waste Management Plants </div><div>Environmental Engineering or Pollution Control </div><div>Hospital Waste Processing Units </div><div>Incineration or Sterilization Plants </div><div>WastetoEnergy Projects </div><div><br></div><div>Work Environment </div><div>Plantbased role with exposure to biomedical or hazardous waste </div><div>PPE and safety compliance is mandatory </div><div>May require shiftbased work and occasional emergency maintenance outside regular hours</div><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div>
