The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in product design, drafting, and development for automotive or industrial components.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Design and develop automotive and manufacturing components using AutoCAD, CATIA, or SolidWorks.</li><li>Create 2D drawings, 3D models, assemblies, and detailed part designs.</li><li>Work on plastic, sheet metal, and casting component designs, ensuring manufacturability.</li><li>Apply GD&amp;T (Geometric Dimensioning &amp; Tolerancing) and perform tolerance stack-up analysis.</li><li>Conduct design validation, prototyping, and testing in coordination with production and quality teams.</li><li>Support DFM (Design for Manufacturing) &amp; DFA (Design for Assembly) principles for efficient production.</li><li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&amp;D, production, and suppliers for design improvements.</li><li>Develop and maintain design documentation, BOMs (Bill of Materials), and technical reports.</li><li>Work on revisions, modifications, and enhancements to existing designs based on feedback and testing.</li><li>Ensure compliance with automotive industry standards and customer specifications.</li><li>Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in CAD software, materials, and manufacturing processes.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Required Skills &amp; Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Mechanical/Automobile/Production Engineering or a related field.</li><li>1 to 6 years of hands-on experience in design &amp; development for the automotive/manufacturing sector.</li><li>Proficiency in AutoCAD, CATIA, and/or SolidWorks.</li><li>Strong knowledge of engineering drawings, GD&amp;T, and drafting standards.</li><li>Experience in designing plastic, sheet metal, casting, and machined components.</li><li>Familiarity with automotive design standards and material selection.</li><li>Basic knowledge of CAE/FEA tools (preferred).</li><li>Good problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.</li><li>Ability to work independently as well as in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.</li></ul>
