The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and developing truck components and systems, ensuring they meet performance, durability, and safety standards.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Develop 3D models and 2D drawings for truck components and assemblies using NX or Creo.</li><li>Design chassis, cabin structures, body panels, suspension, fuel tanks, exhaust systems, and interior parts.</li><li>Ensure designs meet aesthetic, structural, and functional requirements.</li><li>Work on component packaging to optimize space utilization and vehicle performance.</li><li>Ensure proper integration of mechanical, electrical, and fluid systems within the truck architecture.</li><li>Perform basic FEA analysis to ensure strength and durability.</li><li>Collaborate with CAE teams to refine designs based on simulation results and real-world testing.</li><li>Select appropriate materials (steel, aluminum, composites, etc.) for weight optimization and durability.</li><li>Ensure designs are manufacturable using sheet metal, casting, forging, and welding processes.</li><li>Create and maintain detailed engineering drawings, GD&T, tolerance stack-up analysis, and DFMEA.</li><li>Prepare and update Bill of Materials (BOM) for production.</li><li>Work closely with manufacturing, suppliers, testing, and quality teams to refine designs.</li><li>Support prototype builds, validation testing, and troubleshooting of design issues.</li><li>Ensure designs comply with automotive safety, regulatory, and emission standards.</li><li>Follow industry best practices and OEM requirements.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Required Skills & Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical / Automotive Engineering (or related field).</li><li>4 to 8 years of experience in truck design or commercial vehicle engineering.</li><li>Expertise in NX / Creo for 3D modeling, 2D drafting, and parametric design.</li><li>Strong knowledge of vehicle structures, chassis design, and BIW (Body-in-White).</li><li>Understanding of GD&T, DFMEA, DFA, and DFM principles.</li><li>Experience in sheet metal, casting, and welding processes.</li><li>Good problem-solving and analytical skills.</li><li>Strong communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>Experience in electric or hybrid truck design.</li><li>Knowledge of PLM tools like Teamcenter or Windchill.</li><li>Exposure to crashworthiness, NVH, and durability analysis.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Why Join Us?</strong></p><ul><li>Opportunity to work on next-gen truck designs with a leading company.</li><li>Exposure to cutting-edge automotive technologies.</li><li>Career growth and learning opportunities in vehicle engineering.</li></ul>
