Cockpit -Design Engineer

<ul> <li>Cockpit Engineer with experience in Cockpit or cockpit sub part designing, like glove box center facia, floor console etc.</li> <li>Should have fluency in working in Catia software for 3D as well 2 D modeling, which includes surface, solid modeling, 3D Annotation and mechanism.</li> <li>Should have Knowledge in plastic part design, manufacturing and basic of plastic Tooling Knowledge and should know.</li> <li>Basic of plastic row material.</li> <li>Conduct DFMEA and DVP reviews and prepare documents for sign off.</li> <li>Talk to all department, collect an d organize feedback sessions with styling.</li> <li>Should have skill to collect and make good data base for benchmarking and internal data.</li> <li>Should have good interaction skill and participate in internal review as well as external review.</li> <li>Conduct detailed Design and Cad reviews with supplier make and track the current model issues through MINTS. Incorporate feedback through JDP, MINTS, IQS etc., in design. facilitate the CAE, CFD, etc. review and data transfer</li> </ul> <p><strong>Key deliverables:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Developing and monitoring design concepts, master sections along with Engg supplier</li> <li>Ensure all regulatory requirements like HFI, Interior fittings, etc implemented in concepts and Product Engg</li> <li>Fitment trail of proto, parts, mock up to be done with ERC proto shop along with Engg or Manufacturing supplier</li> <li>Analyse root cause of build issues following 4D 8D process and Build support</li> <li>Visit and review Engg and Manufacturing supplier to drive design and Engg related decisions</li> <li>Interaction with CAE, Crash, NVH, CFD team and provide Engg input and interpret analysis to strengthen Engg</li> <li>Line build support and TS interaction to have smooth and easy part, assembly, sub-assembly of cockpit Console assembly on line</li> <li>Ensure Engg input to supplier and internal DVA team and analyze and interpret DVA to convert it into Engg solution to imp rove design</li> <li>Sliding Fixed armrest design with latch, hinge mechanism</li> <li>Along with PLM, TCuA hands on Experience will be preferred.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Job Responsibility:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Interact with styling and other department and deliver feedback.</li> <li>Attend war-room meetings and report to Chief Engineer on status of milestones.</li> <li>Work with VI team for build plans (Alpha, Beta, PO, PP) Release all Cockpit parts in the system to facilitate builds.</li> <li>Attend and take part in Tool Kick off process.</li> <li>Witness build events, validation events, vehicle trials, jury evaluations and provide feedback.</li> <li>Identify issues, suggest countermeasures and implement in Design.</li> <li>Work on Quality improvement and ICR related activities on current and future products.</li> <li>Release parts in PLM system.</li> <li>Should have fluency in working in Catia software for 3D as well 2D modelling, which includes surface, solid modelling, 3D Annotation and mechanism.</li> <li>He should have working experience in PLM system.</li> <li>Should have good Communication, interaction skill to participate in internal review as well as external review.</li> </ul>
