Design Engineer - 3D molding - Bangalore

<ul> <li>Carry out 3-D modeling and drawings of components / assemblies for different products;</li> <li>Convert old 2-D drawings to 3-D models using advance drafting software;</li> <li>Provide drawing updation and revision control;</li> <li>Follow engineering and drafting standard practices;</li> <li>Migrate original Metric revision drawings into NX as per latest drafting practices.</li> <li>Handle ad hoc projects as assigned by the Team Leader/Manager</li> <li>Handle in confidence the drawings and / or trade secret information of products.</li> <li>Support efficiency improvement and establish best practices for modeling and drafting activities within stipulated time-period;</li> <li>Monitor effective use of available resources;</li> <li>Recording and tracking of engineering hours utilized for various projects;</li> <li>Electronic transfer of drawings, documents and data with Global Operations</li> <li>Preparing 3D Catalogue with Drawing Illustration and Bill of Materials</li> </ul> <p><strong>KNOWLEDGE/FORMAL EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Minimum Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from reputed institution for proficiency in use of specialized 3-D modeling and drafting software.</li> <li>Should have a minimum of 2 to 4 years of work experience of NX8.5 and Teamcenter 10.0 with Engineering Design / Consultancy Company.</li> <li>Working knowledge of computerized drafting and data transmittal</li> <li>Working knowledge of Adobe Acrobat/PDF is essential</li> <li>Experienced on steam turbine design &amp; drafting will be added advantage</li> <li>Excellent communication and presentation skills</li> <li>Just to give you a snapshot of the requirement</li> </ul> <p><strong>NX 8.5 required Skillset</strong></p> <p>1. Part familes<br /> 7. Wave-Link Geometry<br /> 8. Experienced in using layer setting and reference sets</p> <p><strong>Desired Skillset</strong></p> <p>1. Experienced on Gate/Globe Valve Design, GA Layout for Valves, Design Calculation for Valves is desirable<br /> 2. Conversant with ASME,ASTM, BPVC and API standrads is desirable</p>
