Design Engineer

<p>Develop and design products, equipment, and tools to be able to produce a product that meets high-quality requirements and performance standards. Analyses equipment specifications and process requirements to conceive a practical design.</p> <p><strong>MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p> <ul> <li>Utilizes CAD (Computer Aided Design) systems to model new designs and produce detailed engineering drawings.</li> <li>Preparation of data related to design for new products flexibility products.</li> <li>Reviews product development requirements for compatibility with methods to determine cost and schedules.</li> <li>Responsible for handing over methods/processes and equipment to production.</li> <li>Specifies precise new product functional requirements; designs, tests, and integrates components to produce final designs; and evaluates the designs&#39; overall effectiveness, cost, reliability, and safety.</li> <li>Designs, develops, executes, and evaluates fitness-for-use testing, product specifications, and process validation plans; creates and reviews material part specifications and bills of materials.</li> <li>Design Develop Fixtures gauges required for seamless production of a job.</li> <li>Have good Knowledge about Designing of Press Tools</li> <li>Have good knowledge of CAM (Computer Aided Machining)</li> <li>Have thorough knowledge of GDT</li> <li>Collaborates with internal manufacturing partners, contract manufacturers, and designers across the globe.</li> <li>Ensures compliance with established industry safety and design standards and guidelines.</li> </ul> <p><strong>REQUIRED COMPETENCIES</strong></p> <ul> <li>CAD Proficiency (Uni Graphics 12.0)</li> <li>Product Development</li> <li>Material and Manufacturing Knowledge</li> <li>GDT (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)</li> <li>Press Tool Design</li> <li>CAM (Computer Aided Machining)</li> <li>Problem-Solving Skills</li> <li>Collaboration and Teamwork</li> <li>Time Management</li> <li>Adaptability</li> <li>Communication</li> <li>Attention to Detail</li> </ul> <p><strong>EDUCATION&nbsp;EXPERIENCE</strong></p> <p>Bachelor&#39;s degree in Mechanical or Production Engineering (BE Mechanical / Production).</p> <p>3-6 years of relevant work experience in product design and engineering.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>BENEFITS</strong></p> <p>Sandvik offers a competitive total compensation package including comprehensive benefits.
